The U.S. Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team Los Angeles-Long Beach (ANT LA-LB), was established on the 18th of April, 1986. The primary mission of ANT LA-LB is the establishment, maintenance, and servicing of Aids to Navigation (ATON), which includes: buoys, foghorns, jetty lights, and lighthouses. Its area of responsibility covers over 300 miles of California coastline and encompasses 8 offshore islands.
